This Eberspacher ducting insulation is manufactured from 3M Thinsulate material. This material is used widely as a fabric insulator within the clothing industry but also has many applications where an insulating material is required that is recoverable from water exposure. It is not supplied as a fire proofing material

The heat vent pipe coming out from these diesel heaters are very hot. I just want to be sure that it wont melt from the heat is all?

Please see attached infornation on Eberspacher insulation, it has a max working temp of 120 Celsius, if your ducting is hotter than this then perhaps best to not insulate the 1st 0.5-1.0mtr at the heater outlet - this iw where the highest temps will be recorderd.

Just to confirm - this Maxitherm insulation from Eberspacher is intended for the wram air ducting - it is not intended to be used as insulation on the exhaust air outlet.
