Error fault code 33 on an Eberspacher Airtronic D4 or D4S is a 'slow' blower motor issue that may require replacement to resolve.

Check the following:

  • Speed too low: Blower motor is not blocked or restricted, showing signs of friction agains heater casing
  • Speed too high: Magnet missing from blower impeller, replace blower motor
  • Speed too high: Magnet is still attached, no signs of restriction on blower fan, ECU may need replacing
  • Check wiring to blower motor for damage or short circuit

Please check your heater model number on the silver data plate.

  • For 12v D4 Airtronic 252113 , please use blower motor part number - 252113992000
  • For 12v D4S Plus 252484, please use blower motor part number - 252144992000
