I have Eberspacher d5 airtronic with mini rheostat controller. Can i fit remote temp sensor, or do i need a different controller ?

Yes, a D5 Airtronic heater using just the Eberspacher mini controller for room temp control can benefit with the addition of this remote room temperature sensor 251774890300 - see attached
