I have a Eberspacher hydronic d4e which is 5 years old and I’m thinking of changing it for a d5e as I feel it takes a while to get the radiators hot. Would this be a simple swap and would you do an exchange unit?

Hi, in theory this should be a reasonably simple swap upgrade, my only thought is that we should confirm between us which controller is installed, also which version of D4E ?

There are two versions, known as CL or CS.

Generally speaking it shouldn't be too difficult but not possible to be 100% deinitive without knowing above.

Regarding exchange units, your old heater as a part-exchange. This is not something we would be interested in tbh as we we do not trade in used parts typically. Where we can help on price is that we could calculate a 'heater only' price for you if you wished to move forward on your upgrade.

Thank you for your enquiry
