I took my Webasto air top 32 S apart for maintenance. In the ‘heater fuel supply’ piece I found residue and scraped and cleaned it off. Now in reassembling it, I see on the diagram that there should be a ‘Webasto HL32 Burner Matting’ which I cannot find in the disassembled pieces. Probably residue from this piece was what I cleaned up. Since there was almost nothing left of the piece, I guess the burner was also working without it. I therefore wonder whether reassembling the burner without this ‘Burner Matting’ will work again. Is it just an element to improve combustion or is it really necessary? Please note that it is marked HL32, where as mine is a 32S. Thank you Valerio
