2) I assume it is OK if the round turrret is a little longer than your plywood and insulation and sticks down under the vehicle a little bit?

This mount plate will be perfect for S3 D2L Eberspacher heater. There’s no harm caused by the turret being a little deeper than the  floor material depth.
